    Default Prokart Sunday the 21st

I have this up as a feeler on evomn.net. But Im trying to get more people out.
Right now we have the date set on Sunday Feb 21st at 4 or 5 pm.

Normal rate is $22 for 8 min session.

This group rate is $30 for basically 45 min.
Here is a message from prokart
Ok. Here's my idea. ProKART auto enthusiasts heats meet. $30 a head, each driver gets 2 practice rounds, and a guarentee 2 heat races. Assumming enough drivers, a last chance qualifier and main event race. Would basically take 45 min per 10 people.

There is typically a limit of how many people can join in on the group discount. But this event is different. We are trying to bring in different people from different forums to join in on the fun.

I'm kinda surprised that not too many from here are joining in on this.

Right now we have 26 people signed up. This has never been done before but it should be fun.

Hey Folks! This is Greg from ProKART Burnsville.

First off, I want to take this chance to thank Ron from RS Motors personally for doing all the leg work on this, and getting so many people together for this event! The guys over at evomn have a lot of people coming so far.

Since we are looking like were going to have such a good turnout, I deffinatly am excited to try our new Sunday Showdown format. And since this is a test run for this format for us, I can offer you guys a discount!

    So here's the scoop:

    ProKART Indoors Racing
    Sunday Showdown Series

    Registration begins at 3:30pm
(must be registered by 4:15 to race)
    Practice begins at 4:00pm
Heat races begin at 5:00 pm
    Final race at 6:45 pm

    only $30.00
each driver is guarenteed two practice sessions
and two or three races (depending on points)

    Details of event:
At registration, all drivers will be required to weigh in. ProKART will use these weights to determine the most competitive weight for the evening. Round one of practice will not utilize the weight system on the karts, allowing ProKART staff time to calculate the appropriate weight. Round two of practice will be weighted, to give racers a chance to adjust to the ballast.

Racers will be placed into each heat randomly. Starting orders will also be random, but ProKART will ensure no driver starts last or first for both races. Points will be earned based on finishing order.

The final race will be determined by taking the top drivers in the points standings. There also may be a LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier) race. The number of racers in these races depends on the total number of participants.

The final race will have a random invert, determined immediately before the final race. All points will be doubled for the final race.Overall winner will be based on the points totals for the event. Any ties in points that need to be broken throughout the night will be determined by Average Best Laptime.

Thanks in advance for everybody that is coming! This is a great chance to try this format out, and see if there are any bugs in the plan. We hope to do this on a regular basis this spring and summer, either weekly or bi-weekly.

It would be great if you'd post here if you plan on coming, just so we can try to keep a rough idea of who is coming.

Tempting. I haven't been to ProKart in almost a year... The date probably won't work for me; I think we have our baby shower that day. Maybe I can drag the unlucky guys here instead... :p
